Water temperature must be taken one (1) hour prior to the start of the event on race day. It must be taken at the middle of the course and in two other areas on the swim course, at a depth of 60 cm. The lowest measured temperature will be considered as the official water temperature. Water temperature and depth are announced before the start.
It is suggested that race officials measure the water temperature one day before the race at the time of the race start in order to be ready for the possibility to shorten the swimming distance.
If water temperature, wind and/or other weather conditions require, then the race organizer is allowed to shorten the swimming course and/or postpone the start. In case the start is postponed, it can be postponed only by full hour at a time and must be announced clearly.
Competitor does not swim with race number attached to the body.
Minimal swimming equipment:
not seethrough swim trunks;
not seethrough one or two part swimsuit.
Wearing of swimming goggles, nose clips and swimcap are allowed. Artificial swimming aids are not allowed like paddles, fins, socks, gloves, snorkles.
