Probably the best way to describe Urmas would be with the phrase ’If nobody else will do it, then I guess it is all up to me’. Urmas wished to know how it would have been to pass the full-distance race, but encountered a significant obstacle: such competitions were not held in Estonia at all. However, obstacles are to be overcome – Urmas decided to get the upper hand and organised a competition. Since then it is possible for everyone to experience Ironman distance race in Estonia: 3.8 km swimming, 180 km cycling and 42.2 km running.

An enthusiastic member of the club since 1999. Siim was one of the first members and he still continues to be actively involved in the club life. Last year he took up organising a swimming pool triathlon in his neighbourhood. The competition was a success, being due to repetition this year as well.

When it comes to organising the competition in Viitna, Jüri has been exposing ultimate thoroughness and correctness. Every single activity has been well-planned and the occasions always run seamlessly. The competition has been taking place for more than 10 sequential years, having gained popularity from year to year thanks to the quality arrangements. Viitna Triathlon is organised in collaboration with Kestuvsspordiklubi as well as Aaspere SK and Defence Forces. Viitna has also been the venue for Estonian Championship and Estonian Defence Forces Championship in triathlon for several years.
